A collaboration between SA Hip Hop’s DJ Ready D and YoungstaCpt and Reebok has resulted in the release of “Back Like I Never Left,” a song commemorating the half-century anniversary of hip hop.
In Mzansi, Hip Hop is widely known and appreciated. Among South African musicians, SA Hip Hop has gotten a lot of attention recently. As part of their global celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop, Reebok is drawing on that history. “Back Like We Never Left” is the soundtrack of the sneaker line.
Through the event, the brand honors both the past and the future of hip-hop, illuminating its glory days. “Back Like We Never Left is a VIP pass to explore the unforgettable eras that have shaped hip hop over the past 50 years,” says Hype Magazine, “from old-school beatboxing to the rise of trap.”
The Beat Bangers, Uncle Partytime, Rarri, YoungstaCPT, Nadia Nakai, Blxckie, and Bravo le Roux will all be performing. A new single, “Back Like I Never Left,” featuring Reebok’s collaboration with DJ Ready D and YoungstaCPT, was dropped today to round up their endeavors. The hip-hop artists killed it on the track.
