The well-known artist Davido responds to the outcry from Nigerians on the attendance of Toke Makinwa and other well-known TV personalities at the ongoing COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Earlier, a lot of people had voiced their displeasure with Nigeria’s 1411-member delegation to COP-28, with a lot of internet users particularly criticizing the socialite Toke Makinwa’s attendance at the conference in Dubai.
Davido responded to the commotion on social media, stating that any Nigerian in Dubai would be reluctant to share their pictures for fear of the backlash that could ensue from people believing they are also there for the conference.
Amidst the uproar, Davido went online to react by saying that any Nigerian who is currently in Dubai would be afraid to post their photos because they’re afraid of the criticisms that might follow since people would think they are also there for the conference.
He added that the outrage expressed over the delegate list is funny, but he nevertheless loves the reaction.
